We are building a community
for all of us
The London Irish Canadian Cultural Society was formed in 2020 and our goal is to build a community we are proud of, both a people community and a centre where we can gather and put our ideas into action.

Local Efforts
Every month or so we try to host an event to support a local charity. Check out the calendar below for upcoming events. We’ll do our best to keep it up to date.
History & Culture
London has a large Irish community and our purpose is to promote our heritage and identity in the London area. It will also bring together businesses, embrace tradition, and build a supportive Irish community.
Workshops & Classes
Eventually we will offer workshops and classes. Keep an eye out for when these start.
We’d love to collaborate with existing groups and offer traditional music lessons, Irish dance for adults, celli dancing, Irish language and so much more.
Community Centre
Our organization was created with the intention of having a community centre for all Irish, their friends and family to gather and share stories, culture and heritage.
We are a registered Not for Profit organization and plan to fundraise over the coming years to achieve our goal. We hope you will join in and help us.
We Have the Power to Impact Our Future, and We’re Doing Something About It
There is a big need for an Irish Canadian Community Center here in London, Ontario. London is home to a large Irish community with 635 native born Irish and 97,930 of ethnic origin as per the 2016 Census (Census Canada, 2016). Whether it be first generation, second generation or further down the line of diaspora, London is home to a very large community that identify as having Irish heritage and identity. Within London we have many different Irish groups and clubs scattered throughout the area and The London Irish Canadian Community Center is where we intend to bring them all together. We will be fundraising to secure a location for all of these Irish organizations to collaborate and operate services promoting Irish heritage and identity within the London community. This community center will provide channels for intergenerational interaction, business networking, and social networking for new Irish immigrants into the city, and, most importantly, provide our members with a sense of belonging and connectedness to Ireland
Happening SOON – Feb 4th.

Community Centre Campaign
How do we build a Community Centre? Once we identified the need for a centre, we put our heads together and formed this organization. We applied for and received our Not-for-Profit status and started to organize what events we could during 2020. It’s funny thing fundraising. You get a group together and have loads of plans, the next thing you know you’re fundraising for another community organisation that needs help. And it’s a great feeling. We collected over 700 lbs of food for the London Food Bank and delivered it just in time for Christmas. In 2021, we beat that and delivered just over 1,000 lbs and gave them cash as well. What a great feeling.
We hosted a number of great events over the spring including a live St. Patrick’s Day show. What a great night.
We thought we’d slow down a bit over the summer but nope:)
We’re still going. The Irish Open was held on July 23rd. We had a great turnout for our first golf tournament and we have events planned now every month until the end of the year.
We need your help. Please attend as many as you can and volunteer where you can. We want to grow our community, your community.
